I have decided to put myself out there again as a designer.  So today instead of sharing a layout and a freebie with you, I’ve decided to share my first two kits with a freebie.

 Cissy’s Trunk is a kit of mauves, pinks, and hues of purple.  The lace and beads reminded me of one of my aunts who loves to dress very sophisticated so I named it after her.  My favorite element in this kit is the lace border.  It is such a unique element!  This kit is at KutnKudly Kreations now for $3.50.

My second kit is Big Boy Kit.  I actually created this one for a designer contest once.  This kit was made for my lil boys who play cars and trucks while dreaming of being big boys.  I love the “dirty” feel to some of the pages in this kit….not necessarily grunge but dirty….lol…..This kit is also available at KutnKudly Kreations for $2.75.

Since we are on Spring Break, I’ve been scrapping a whole LOT!!!  I have so much to catch up on, like 8 years!! LOL 

This layout was made using Refrigerator Art by Fayth Scraps at KnK.  The elements in this kit are great and the alpha is SO cute.  It’s just like the magnet letters you used to put on the fridge when you were small!!!!!

Kit is Feel the Nature by Jassi Woschek

In the summer of 2005, I felt God calling me to leave the school I had taught at for two years to go to a private school that paid a lot less. After much thought and prayer, I decided it was time to go, but the private school was not hiring. Why would God tell me to go somewhere if there was no job available? So assuming I had misunderstood God, I put my resume’ out at many local schools. The local elementary school called to tell me that they were interested in me but again never hired me. By mid-June, I was frustrated because in our districts, most teachers are placed before June 15. Then, July came and the private school called to tell me I was hired for a sixth grade position.   The very next day, I went to resign from the public school system only to find out that I had two other job offers. My decision was so hard to make but my husband said, “If God called you yesterday, then He is still calling you today.” So I resigned and took the pay cut. It othered me in August knowing what I had given up to do what God called me to do. But He proved faithful and true as always, because by mid-October the other two jobs I would have received were already cut from the budget and the teachers let go.

Well I decided to share my layouts from Easter this year.  It’s been so long since I have blogged (is that a word?).  This Easter I found a kit that I absolutely adore!!!  The chicks in this kit are AWESOME.  This is the first time I’ve scrapped with a kit by Carol Burns and I must say I am IMPRESSED!  The kit is Easter Surprise.  Scroll down for a template of page 2!!!

It’s my first template so please let me know if something doesn’t work correctly.  Oh yeah and it’s made in PSP X so I don’t know what else it’s compatible with!  Thanks for looking!
