I’ve decided to take part in the Scrap Your Faith challenge at Scrapper’s Zone. Our first assignment was to scrap a time when God answered your prayers.
Kit is Feel the Nature by Jassi Woschek
The journaling is hard to read on the layout so I have rewritten it below:
In the summer of 2005, I felt God calling me to leave the school I had taught at for two years to go to a private school that paid a lot less. After much thought and prayer, I decided it was time to go, but the private school was not hiring. Why would God tell me to go somewhere if there was no job available? So assuming I had misunderstood God, I put my resume’ out at many local schools. The local elementary school called to tell me that they were interested in me but again never hired me. By mid-June, I was frustrated because in our districts, most teachers are placed before June 15. Then, July came and the private school called to tell me I was hired for a sixth grade position. The very next day, I went to resign from the public school system only to find out that I had two other job offers. My decision was so hard to make but my husband said, “If God called you yesterday, then He is still calling you today.” So I resigned and took the pay cut. It othered me in August knowing what I had given up to do what God called me to do. But He proved faithful and true as always, because by mid-October the other two jobs I would have received were already cut from the budget and the teachers let go.

I was just scrolling through your pages (I’m sorry but I can’t remember how I even ended up on your site) and when I came across this entry I knew I needed to comment. God is so awesome
I am so happy you listened to God even when it was hard because of knowing full well what you would be losing and He proved faithful and trustworthy to you HE was happy with your faithfulness by allowing you to know those other jobs were lost. this really is hiting home to me since we just moved to a new town and my husband still hasn’t found a job (I homeschool our 3 oldest). God has provided for all our needs its just really hard and to know that christmas is comming up fast and our 4 kids all have bd’s in dec/jan its been a real test to hold on to our faith and just keep trusting and reading things like this help keep my trust/faith strong so Thank you
