{May 29, 2008}   My Divine Revelation

Yesterday at McDonald’s with my two little boys I had this huge revelation.  I have FINALLY realized what my job as a mother of boys is…yes, i know it took me years to figure this out but I suddenly, just yesterday, realized exactly why I’m here.

Ready for it??? Really ready??  Get this…..

…..

………

……..

I’m here to keep my boys alive!!  That’s my only job as a mom of boys is to try my very best to keep them alive while they constantly try to kill/harm/injure themselves in a variety of unique ways.  LOL…..I had this revelation because as we were trying to eat my youngest (the almost 2 year old) decided he was done and wanted to play(beat on)  the computers which is fine because I always always sit at the table closest to it.  So he’s over there playing and I’m here trying to finish eating (people wonder why I’m skinny) but EVERY SINGLE TIME someone opens the door to come in my dear little one decides to make a break for the outdoors.  Yes he would constantly try to run into the parking lot.  I kept having to get up and go “retrieve” him from absolute strangers while profusely apologizing WHILE this mother next to us with three lovely little girls (about the same age as my boys) sat there in total shock watching me probably wondering why I have NO control over my kiddos as her three girls in dresses with perfect hair ate burgers with only the best manners.  ROFL……yep if we keep them alive long enough….God will reward us with grandsons so that we can try again….somehow that just sounds tiring to me! LOL….

I want to share my newest layout with you.  It’s well outside of my box but I was going for an “art” feel instead of a scrapping feel.  This layout was created with an AWESOME kit by LSDS designs by Stephanie called “Nathan”.  There were so many elements to choose from, even acrylic bracket frames!!

No real designing news today except that I’ve moved a few more of my products into the new store. One was my chipboard alpha freebie.  If you missed it feel free to drop by here and grab it!  THANKS!

O.k.  ummm……so I have to share 7 things about me.

1.  I have 2 beautiful boys that you get to see quite a bit of.

2. I teach math to junior high and high school students.

3. I love summer!!!

4. I am a mystery shopper and store merchandiser for a few companies.

5. I worry A LOT!

6.  I have a beautiful new puppy named Sparky.

7.  I love to scrap and design and my newest element packs are in the store today!!

Yep, my graduation packs are in Scraphead.com today and they are on sale for $1.10 through late tomorrow night because of the Memorial Day Sale! Grab them here!

O.k. so life is absolutely crazy.  School officially ends Wednesday for the kids (sort of).  Monday night is graduation.  Wednesday is pre-k graduation.  Thursday is my son’s birthday as well as his Kinder graduation.  Friday is Awards Day and my son’s party.  Saturday is our first baseball tournament of the summer.   Oh yeah and did I mention that every single graduation is in desperate need of a video from our computer tech (me).

But in the middle of being totally swamped I got my templates into the store at Scraphead!!!  YIPPEE!  And if everyone would stop giving me photos for videos (lol) I could get my graduation elements in there as well.

So without further ado …..my Totally Terrific Templates! Only $2.50 for 5 templates!!!

And a sneak peek of my grad kit – perfect for little grads as well as the big ones! Just a small sample…..

{May 11, 2008}   Someone used my kit!

I entered ScrapOrchard’s So You Think You Can Design contest on both the kit and the template side and although I never made it past the first round I learned a lot.

Tessthescrapper was kind enough to use my entry to scrap a pic and I wanted to share that with you.  THANKS TESS!

Now that I’m out of the competition I can get back to designing.  I am working on a set of templates that I want to put in the store this week and POSSIBLY a new kit.  Thanks for looking! See you tomorrow!

I was bored today. The baby was asleep and my kindy was doing homework so I entered the other part of the So you think you can design? Contest and made a 2 page template.

I am NOT a template maker but it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Of course when you are focusing on white space, there isn’t a whole lot you have to put on it! lol…..

Here’s my entry…..

You can find the link to download it on this page!! I’m very very close to the bottom.

Well I’m trying again…..lol….actually this time I do not care if I win or lose because I already sell at an AWESOME shop but I want the constructive criticism that they are offering with this contest. So I was to create a kit for week #1, except that week 1 started on Sunday and ends on Wednesday and most of you know how much I HATE deadlines so………lol……..without further ado, here is my creation.

You can get a link to download it here!

If you do download it and create a layout with it, I would love to see it.

Hey, It’s been a week since I posted on my blog because I have been SOO busy with school this week.  We had state convention on Thursday and Friday so we spent the week finishing our projects.  Then we went to convention with 11,000+ other kids!!!!!  We competed in lots of things but still do not have a state award……maybe next year…..Anyways so I’m home and here.

This week we also moved into the new store at Scraphead. It still needs a little work but we are having an NSD sale!!!  My store is here!  Scraphead is hopping with activity and I betcha you haven’t been there in a while!!!  We are having a challenge a day in May!  I created this layout for the word challenge with this month’s word “Hope”.  Photobucket

I have also created a HOPE frame for you! Get it here.  Password is thankyou.

Scraphead is buzzing with new activity!  Come by the forums to see how you could be paid to scrap.  That’s right we are scrapping for pennies EVERY month!!!

See you tomorrow!
