I can't imagine ANYONE wanting to stick it out down there during a major hurricane. I'd be hoofing it if nothing else to at least try to get as far away as possible, and if someone traveling out of town picked me up even for a short distance, that's great, but my feet would be doing the walking if I didn't have any other way out.
