Hi all! My name is Bridget and I love digital scrapbooking. My two favorite subjects to scrap are my two sons, Trevor and Andrew. If you spend any amount of time around my site you will see them often. I am very excited to be back in designing again at Kutkudlyskreations!! Thanks for visiting!
{September 7, 2006} About ME
Bridget,
Bless you and your precious family. I couldn’t sleep tonight. I thought that I would go to the scrapbook sites, as there ha been a lot of partying and freebies. I might have missed one! LOL While on Stella’s Cottage Scrapbooks, I clicked on Kay-C’s link for a blog party featuring Creations by Rachel. (Bear with me, please) There, I found links to the ladies who participated. There, at number 4, was Bridget. (I like to go look at what other designers are doing, you know, to learn new ideas.)
I just want to tell you that I was not disappointed at what I found. No, the designs were gone – this was an old advertisement I had found. Instead, I found a brave and selfless lady who encompassed her family in her protective embrace and took them to safety, all the while, managing to hold on to what she could. That you decided to post your experiences is marvelous and quite a feat, considering you had it so rough.
I noticed that your last post was a while ago. I, for one, would dearly love to know how you are doing these days. I know you are doing your best to get life back to some semblence of normalcy, but, please let us know. I don’t normally go around doing this, but, I might be able to help you, if just a little, with some of your expenses. It isn’t much, dear lady, but, if you would respond to my e-mail address, I have a hundred dollars that I would like to send you – no questions.
We are much alike, in that we are women and we put our families before us. I raised my family, you see. They are all grown and happy and I am enjoying the fruits of my labors, so to speak. Though, I could complain, I really have all that I need. You, Bridget, are where I was 20 years ago. Though I never had to evacuate for a hurricane, living in Florida, I have had to prepare for quite a few. I sincerely do hope that you folks get your life back on an even keel soon. Things will be different, but, sometimes this can lead to more opportunity.
I will await your response. It isn’t much, but, I know there is something that you could use a few dollars on. There’s an old saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” In this case, a neighboring villager would like to help.
With Much Caring and Concern,
Suruha
